Measuring temperatures in grain piles.
The TP-DM thermal probe (digital thermal probe) Ø 12 mm is a primary measuring device designed for direct contact temperature measurement of grain products in elevator silos, floor storage facilities, and metal containers. The TP-DM type thermal probe is developed to minimize the load on the roof of metal silos to values between 1000-1200 kg, depending on the length of the thermal probe.
Structurally, the thermal probe is made in the form of a smooth cable with fastening elements at the ends: an outer polyethylene sheath, a set of load-bearing steel wires underneath, followed by a polyethylene tube, inside which a ribbon with DS18B20 digital temperature sensors from Maxim Integrated is placed. The thermal probe can contain from 1 to 24 sensors, depending on its length and application area. The communication cable provides data exchange with the TP-DM thermal probe via the 1-Wire interface using the MicroLAN network protocol.
