The thermal rod (or thermal probe) THL-02 is designed for measuring temperature values in bulk materials (such as grain, meal, compound feed, etc.), allowing for the timely detection of self-heating processes. Its main applications include the agro-industrial sector and facility laboratories.
The thermal rod THL-02 is structurally made of aluminum tubing (length determined by the customer: 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3 meters).
At the bottom of the aluminum tube, there is a tip in which a DS18B20 digital temperature sensor is installed.
The upper part of the thermal rod is equipped with an aluminum housing – a handle, in which an electronic module with an LED indicator and a battery compartment with power elements (2 x AA) is integrated. The LED indicator and control button are located under the front panel attached to the top end of the handle housing. Temperature measurement is performed by a single press of the control button.
The digital LED indicator has red-colored segments, allowing temperature readings to be read in poorly lit areas and in bright sunlight.
The handle housing allows the user to comfortably lower the thermal rod into bulk materials.
A distinctive feature of the THL-02 thermal rod is the absence of structural elements made of plastic, the presence of which in thermal rods from other manufacturers causes breakdowns during operation.
