The device is designed to create branches in the RS-485 interface network topology, increase the maximum allowable length of network cable lines, enhance its loading capacity, and consequently increase the number of devices in the network.
All electronic components of the Device are mounted on a single printed circuit board, the external view of which is shown in Figure 1. The Device’s board is housed in a plastic enclosure with an IP65 protection rating.

The Device is equipped with spring terminals for connecting a power source and three-wire RS-485 interface lines. All RS-485 interface ports are galvanically isolated from each other and have overvoltage protection. The Device allows for power supply input with any polarity. No configuration or additional calibration is required. The direction of data transmission is controlled automatically. The Device features two LEDs indicating power presence and five indicators showing data transmission through the respective channels. The layout of the terminals, indicators, and jumpers is shown in Figure 1.
