The TP-DN type thermal probe is developed to minimize the load on the roof of metal silos.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of the TP-DN thermal probe utilizes a tube made of stainless steel, inside of which a ribbon with DS18B20 digital temperature sensors from Maxim Integrated is placed. The thermal probe can contain from 1 to 24 sensors depending on its length and application area.<\/p>\n<p>Reducing the diameter of the thermal probe to 8-9mm, combined with a smooth surface, has allowed minimizing the loads on the silo roof to minimal values.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of the TP-DN thermal probe is designed to minimize bending and twisting loads on the probe itself and consequently on the silo roof. A mounting loop is provided in the upper assembly for attaching the thermal probe to the silo roof. A mounting hole is provided in the lower assembly to secure the bottom end of the thermal probe and thus prevent it from deviating from the vertical position.
